Our classroom is small but cozy. The environment is strongly influenced by the first graders. It is not unusual to see a variety of signs, labels, and posters made by the children. We belived in community. We believe in being a family. What happens to one happens to all.
The first experience a child has when entering this first grade is through our Open House. It is a time when children and their parents come to visit for a few hours and become acclamated to the classroom. It is also a time to meet the head teacher and assistant.
A special scavenger hunt allows the children to explore the classroom, do some activities, pick out their own desk, and leave knowing that the school year will be fun, exciting, and filled with many 'magical moments'.
